Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman (pronounced cay-MAN) is the safest island in the Caribbean. It is a quick flight from Miami airport.

Closed for nearly two years during the pandemic, Grand Cayman is finally open again and ready for tourists!

Grand Cayman

The Grand Cayman’s pristine beaches and clear blue water are the ideal destinations for families, couples, and especially those who love to dive!

Recently, a group of us were guests at Seafire, a Kimpton Resort. The Kimpton delivers fresh, new rooms, a fantastic pool area with fun activities, and even a great kids club!  Poolside, you can rent a cabana and chill for the day. One of my favorite aspects was that the pool was a stone’s throw from the ocean. I can imagine all 3 of my children running from pool to ocean while I see it all from my cabana.

A Plus for families — the family-style accommodations. Finding an excellent setup for families with two or three children is difficult because a standard 2-bed queen room does not provide enough space for luggage and older children. At Seafire, the family-style accommodation is perfect for families, even with three children. There is a separate bunk area for kids, so mom and dad get their own space.

While in the Grand Cayman, I was able to tour and dine at The Ritz Grand Cayman. After a new update, The Ritz provides a classic and upscale hotel experience. This hotel is crawling with families looking for the standard of service that Ritz Carlton provides.

The new Virtuoso property, Palm Heights, is also reopening after a renovation. This smaller boutique option is a good spot for couples who want a more chic experience in Grand Cayman.

What To Do in Grand Cayman

Beach, eat, dive, REPEAT!

Don’t forget about StingRay City. This is a must-see attraction in Grand Cayman. Where else would you get to hold and kiss a stingray?
