Highland Elegance: A Luxe Escape Through Scotland’s Scenic Soul
“The hills of Scotland are a balm to the soul.” by poet Robert Louis Stevenson
There’s definitely something magical about Scotland, from the old cobblestone streets of Edinburgh with the famous Edinburgh Castle looking down on the city to the Scottish Highlands. But beyond the windswept romance and rugged charm lies a refined side to Scotland—a land of bespoke experiences, Michelin-starred cuisine, and legendary hospitality.
I have to say, seeing Scotland for the first time only made me wonder why I hadn’t been there earlier. More so, I kept thinking how magical Scotland is for families. Edinburgh is so easy to navigate, taking kids to this big city would be wonderful and easy. For kids who love Harry Potter, JK Rowling wrote many of her books in Edinburgh, you could spend a day exploring from the tales of Harry Potter.
Where to stay in Edinburgh
Begin your journey in Edinburgh, where history and sophistication intertwine. For families, check into The Balmoral, a five-star landmark perched at the edge of the Old Town. With its majestic clock tower and impeccable service, it’s the perfect base for exploring the city’s cobbled streets, designer boutiques, and the famed Royal Mile. For couples, 100 Princes Street is a luxurious boutique hotel located in the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland. Situated on the historic Princes Street, the hotel offers stunning, unobstructed views of Edinburgh Castle and is just steps away from the city’s major attractions, including the National Gallery and the Royal Mile. 100 Princess Street was my home during my time in Edinburgh.

Another wonderful spot is Gleneagles Townhouse. With a lively dining scene and VIP club, this hotel is full of character and spirit.
