La Samanna

La Samanna, A Belmond Property

La Samanna, A Belmond Property

Take and deep breath and exhale…this is the feeling you get when you enter the doors at La Samanna.

Nestled on a beautiful stretch of Baie Longue Beach in beautiful St. Martin, La Samanna delivers on all aspects of a Five Star resort.  Just a short 15-minute drive from the airport and you are in paradise. A gorgeous garden path brought me to my Ocean Front King room. My room was so close to the water, hearing the waves at night brought an amazing peace to my journey.

We had some very memorable dining opportunities at La Samanna.  On our first night we met for Veuve Clicquot and a cheese pairing in La Cave, the hotel’s underground cellar. Another night we had a wonderful beachside dinner, an experience that all groups should have!

I could easily hang out at the 2 swimming pools overlooking the ocean all day, but the beach was calling.  The watersports crew helped us to our paddle boards and snorkels for the afternoon.

Whether you need a hotel room or villa, La Samanna is a place where memories are made for years to come.  There are families that have been coming for 30 years to this resort, and I see why.  It’s a very special place.

The staff is warm and friendly, the resort is bubbling with elegance but not pretentious.  La Samanna can easily be a home away from home.

Until next time La Samanna….
