Quebec with family

Quebec

Quebec

Old Quebec is the perfect place for you if you want to get a taste of Europe without flying across the pond. This June, we crossed the border with our 3 children in tow to experience Old Quebec, and what a wonderful surprise for our family. French is the most widely used language in Quebec, making this an excellent place for my children to experience another culture. We loved the friendly “Bonjour” we heard at each stop.

A Premiere Stay In Quebec

While staying in Quebec, there’s nowhere better to stay than The Fairmont Frontenac. A premiere address in Quebec that is nearly as spectacular as the Disney Castle, with its green turrets perched high above the UNESCO World Heritage site. The Frontenac was built in 1893 and is truly a castle.

The Fairmont employees are very family-friendly and ready for kids! They have a few scavenger hunts and clues for kids that lead them to fun prizes.

Food and historical tours offer a bit of everything for all. The Fairmont also has a large indoor pool and jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing at the end of a long day. Another bonus for Quebec is that it is also a ski destination in the wintertime. Ideal for lower altitude skiing!

In the winter, there’s a hill outside with sleds ready, street performers, and charming shops.

Kid-Friendly Top Destination

Finally, at the end of a successful vacation, we took the kids to Benjo, the most amazing toy store I have ever seen (sorry, FAO Schwartz), and everyone got a fun prize.

Plan Your Quebec Vacation Today!

Quebec has something for everyone, whether with kids or a romantic weekend away. Or stroll down the small European streets at night, find the most charming restaurants and bars, or shop and watch the street performers.
